Think mid-century and modern with this flat-top hat. The more practical sister of a traditional pillbox, this wool felt hat perches on the back of your head so your fabulous 'do stays undisturbed. A small comb ensures the hat stays in place. Finished with a wire edge and grossgrain headsize ribbon. Shown are two samples of different colors of this hat.
Hats
Betty
Cloche means "bell" in French, and this traditional cloche rings out with appeal the instant you slip it on. Crafted on a classic cloche hat block, the high crown and small brim are a universally flattering shape. To put it simply, every lady who tries on this hat adores it.
Lady Baltimore Cloche
See and be seen in this traditional cloche hat, which can be made in either straw or wool. Subtle variations in the traditional cloche shape lend this hat its flattering fit: tapering around the brim of the hat and a lower crown help ensure it sits further back on the head for a classic, face-framing look. Samples shown are a grey wool with silk taffeta trim, and a burgundy wool with grosgrain trim
Madeline Cloche
Set yourself apart from the cloche-hat crowd in this distinctive flat-top cloche in felt or straw. A truly uncommon shape among hats, the longer front brim frames your face and keeps the rain away, while the shorter brim in back allows you to turn your head and flash your dazzling smile at every passerby. One size fits virtually anyone, thanks to the unique tapered shape.

One of a kind hats are each created individually, inspired by the materials used to create them. The cloches are hand-draped, the brims taking shape free-form. Some are braided hats, taken apart, and re-stitched in new shapes to give them a new life. Some are custom orders, specifically made to my clients specifications.

Fascinators & Cocktail Hats
A traditional pillbox hat in, with a flattering, feminine fit, thanks to its ridges and slightly rounded top. This distinctive shape comes from a vintage hat-block rescued from a flea market by Miriam's mother. Two small combs on the inner hat band secure the hat in place for a classic, Jackie O look. A headsize wire and grossgrain ribbon finish off the interior.
Bellini pillbox hat
A sweet little hat that goes down easy and won't get you in trouble. Reclaimed felt is shaped, constructed, and stitched completely by hand. Asymmetrical shape perches on the back of the head, and can be worn with your usual hairstyle. A small comb at front secures it into place. One size fits all.
Brandy Alexander
Inspired by a vintage 1940s cocktail headdress found in the Seattle Opera collection, this playful fascinator perches atop your 'do for a fun alterative to boring old veils. Features hand cut flower petals, and an array of feathers or veiling to suit your desire. Versatile, no-fuss design can be worn straight on or at a jaunty angle. Fabric-covered wire loop design holds the piece in place, and bobby pins can be used for additional security. The under-structure was handmade from buckram and steel spring wire. A delicate looking, but structurally sound piece that will last for years.
Cosmopolitan Fascinator
Be sweet, dry, or just plain you in this vintage-inspired cocktail fascinator that can be worn curl-forward or curl-backward. Features hand-cut and formed flowers, for true vintage glam. Headband is individually crafted using traditional millinery materials and so that it's both durable and delicate
Sherry Fascinator
My one of a kind fascinators are inspired by the materials they are made from. A piece of trim, a particular piece of fabric, the curl of a feather, will lead me to what they need to become. Although each is individual, they can often be recreated to your specifications.
